Rudi Hoffmann ( 1924–2008) (* August 30, 1924 in Höxter; † July 18, 2008 in Bensheim) was a German game designer. In 1989, his game Café International was the Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) and he received the Golden Pöppel for his game Maestro in the same year. After years of working as a commercial artist and illustrator, he began inventing games in 1964. In doing so, his knowledge from the graphic design profession was useful to him.
Hoffmann was considered one of the most renowned game designers in Germany.
