Alexander Pfister

Alexander Pfister (* 1971): Alexander Pfister grew up in Vorarlberg and began developing his own games as a child.

He studied economics and works independently in the financial sector. He came into contact with game publishers through the Viennese game agency White Castle. His first publication was the game Freibeuter der Karibik (Buccaneers of the Caribbean) by the publisher Public Solution in 2008, followed by other games. In 2014, his game Port Royal was nominated for the À-la-carte card game award and won 4th place. In 2015, the game Broom Service, developed together with Andreas Pelikan, won the Kennerspiel des Jahres game award from the Spiel des Jahres jury. In the following year, 2016, the game duo was able to achieve this prize again with Isle of Skye: Vom Häuptling zum König, and the game Mombasa was also awarded the German Games Prize.
